On Villány wine region new year starts with the celebration of the day of St. Vincent. The event called – From Cellar to Cellar Variations to Vincent – awaits everybody with colourful programs, gastro- and wine experiences.
According to the traditions the wine makers predicted the forthcoming harvest from the Vincent day weather and the status of the freshly cut canes. They tasted each others wine walking from cellar to cellar, they asked the bless of God to the vines and they also used superstitious rituals to ensure the good harvest.
We prepared a weekend package for Vincent day, 18-20th January 2019. We await the guests for a wine tasting on Saturday morning and in the evening they can taste the menu of the chef of Mandula Restaurant.
Barrel Vincent program
Date: 19th January 2018., starts exactly at 10AM
Location: Gere Attila Winery
Program: Cellar day and barrel muster at Attila Gere. A really special occasion to taste 4 items of the premium wines of Attila Gere from the barrels.
Snack: scone

Dinner Vincent program

Lights soup with potato noodles (Svabian sour soup)
Pork with its skin, potato, Svabian cabbage
„Cream bun”
(We keep the right of changing the menu.)
