St. Vincent’s Day is a very special day for winemakers and wine lovers, as it is the day when the quality of the autumn harvest is predicted. The traditions and customs of St. Vincent’s Day also play an important role in the lives of Villány winemakers, who go from cellar to cellar, tasting each other’s wines, asking for God’s blessing on the vines and even using superstitious tricks to ensure a good harvest. As in previous years, the wine region offers a colourful St. Vincent’s Day programme. ST. VINCENT events all day: BARRELS in the morning, VINEYARD TOURS during the day and DINNER in the evening.
