The Villány Red Wine Festival is one of the best known harvest festivals in Hungary, and since its beginnings it has been the largest Hungarian event of its kind offering wine, gastronomy, folk art and diverse cultural programmes. The central venue of the three-day event is the Villány Rendezvénytér, while the Diófás Square, the Main Square and the Pincesor Square host programmes featuring leading representatives of pop, world and folk music, local and regional folk art groups, children’s programmes, street theatre and Villány winemakers.
During the three-day programme the main street of the town will be closed to traffic so that the guests can enjoy the activities without any disturbance. The main concerts will take place in the event area, but the musical performances will be accompanied by folk art events and, of course, you can sample some of the best wines of Villány.
