This spring, visitors to Villány can once again look forward to an exciting programme of events. Wine tastings, picnics, gastronomic events, concerts… a real festival atmosphere in Hungary’s southernmost wine region.
Portugieser du Monde tasting Festival
15 April 2023 (Saturday)
On 15 April 2023, the Portugieser Du Monde Tasting Festival, a walking tasting of Central European Portugieser wines, will be held at the Dóm Kőtár in Pécs. The event will showcase a variety of domestic and international Portugiesers, Portugieser-based blends, as well as other wines representing the typical styles of the wineries. The event will also see the debut of Villány Wine Region’s 2022 vintage community bistro wine, Villány REDy, which showcases the cheerful face of Villány and will be available for tasting at the main organiser, the Villány Wine Region’s community stand, with a personal presentation by the producers.
BorZsongás Festival

Spring is in full swing during the April long weekend, the air is vibrant over the vineyards, and everything seems to celebrate life and nature. The Villány wine region is waiting for wine lovers at the BorZsongás Festival.
Programmes hosted by us:
15:00 – 18:00 Mandula Restaurant – Wine and Chocolate Tasting
Wines accompanied by the restaurant’s homemade bonbons and also treats made by confectionery workshops and chocolatiers.
18:00 – 21:00 Mandula Restaurant – Terrace Concert: Viki Názár & Szabi Dörnyei

Spring Wine Picnic

For a fabulous panorama of the iconic vineyards being reborn in spring visit the stations of the Villány Wine Region Spring Wine Picnic. Sip quality wines close to nature, participate in games for extra prizes. Enjoy the sunset from a special terrace in the wine region, and in the evening listen to pleasant music while sitting by the campfire.
